Just got an offer for a remote design internship through the Dribbble job board. Any advice on negotiating salary or benefits for Dribbble-sourced roles?

P Preeti 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
Congrats! For internships, especially remote ones, sometimes there's less flexibility on salary. But definitely ask about equipment stipends, software licenses, and any learning resources they might offer. Those can add up.

P Preeti 1 week ago
Also, clarify if it's a paid internship or not, sometimes 'internship' can be vague.

Good call on the equipment stipend, I hadn't thought of that. Thanks!

I'd check Glassdoor or LinkedIn for similar remote design intern salaries to get a baseline. Dribbble jobs tend to attract good talent, so companies might be competitive.

Will do that research. Thanks for the tip!

My Dribbble Pro renewal price was higher than last year. Is this normal or did I miss some kind of early bird discount ending?

N NikhilS 3 weeks ago
Mine increased too! I think they might have adjusted their pricing structure for Pro plans this year. I didn't see any specific announcement, but my bill definitely went up by a few dollars.

N NikhilS 3 weeks ago
Yeah, it's a bummer. Maybe check your original sign-up email, sometimes there's an introductory rate mentioned.

P PoojaR 3 weeks ago
Ugh, that's annoying. I thought I was on a consistent rate.

Following. Mine renews next month, hoping it doesn't jump too much.

I'm looking for some good UI/UX design inspiration for a fintech app. Any specific Dribbble users or collections you'd recommend following?

K KunalG 2 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Definitely check out the 'Fintech UI' Playbook on Dribbble, it's curated really well. Also, search for 'banking app' or 'investment dashboard' in the discover section. You'll find tons of relevant shots.

S Simran 2 weeks ago
Oh, a Playbook! Didn't even think of those, thanks. Will check it out.

K KunalG 2 weeks ago
Yeah, Playbooks are super underrated for specific niches.

V Varun 2 weeks ago
I usually just type 'fintech' into the search and then filter by 'popular' or 'recent'. Finds some good stuff, even from newer designers.

I'm a new designer and want to start getting feedback on my work. Is Dribbble a good place for constructive criticism, or is it mostly for showing off polished work?

M Mehul 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
It's a bit of both, honestly. You'll get more 'likes' and 'nice work' comments on polished stuff. For real critique, try posting a 'Rebound' asking for specific feedback on an element, or join some of the community groups that do peer reviews.
7
K Kavya 1 week ago
That makes sense. So, being specific about what I need feedback on is key.
0
M Mehul 1 week ago
Exactly. Don't just post and hope, ask targeted questions.

Sometimes the comments are just surface-level. For deep dives, I'd suggest finding a mentor or joining a smaller design community outside Dribbble too. It helps to get different perspectives.
3
K Kavya 1 week ago
Yeah, that's a good point. I'll look into local meetups too.

Thinking about switching my portfolio from Behance to Dribbble. Has anyone done this recently? What was your experience like with the migration or setting things up?

A AmitM 3 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
I did this last year. Honestly, it's not a 'migration' per se, more like rebuilding. Dribbble's format is very 'shot' focused, so you'll probably break down your Behance projects into smaller, more digestible Dribbble shots. It took me a good week to get everything looking decent.
5
S Sneha22 3 weeks ago
Yeah, that's what I figured. Is the effort worth it, in your opinion?
2
A AmitM 3 weeks ago
For me, yes. The community engagement is way better, and I've landed more client inquiries from Dribbble.
5
R Rahul87 3 weeks ago
I keep both active. Behance for full case studies, Dribbble for the eye candy and quick inspiration. Different vibes for different audiences.
10
S Sneha22 3 weeks ago
That's a good strategy. I might do that initially.
